TROUBLESHOOTING

Your site is almost ready to go live, all that’s left to do is to customise the template we have created, and you will be good to go! 

We’ve made you some personalised videos which will guide you through the customisation process. For ease, here is a bullet pointed list of what we cover in the videos and what you will need to customise before making your site go live: 

–       Adding an eventbrite link to your classes.

–       Connecting the paypal button to your paypal account.

–       Updating your address in the footer of each page.

–       How to add information: 

1.     About staff members and athletes in the “Meet The Team” page. 
2.     To your “News and Gallery” page. 

There are pre-made cards in both pages ready for you to just add your text to 🙂 

–       Adding relevant text to: 

1.     The “Safe Space” page, related to your values about boxing for mental health and wellbeing. 
2.     The “Manifesto” page, detailing to people in 3 short pre headed sections what you and the academy stands for.  

–       Adding the correct images, equipment and facilities to the “Facilities” page. 

–       Once you have set up some social media pages there is a video of how to link the social media icons to your social media sites. 

Also, a quick note regarding your concern for the loading times of the videos in the ‘opportunities section’: In order to improve the loading time for these, they would need to be uploaded to youtube and linked through that. I think there is even a way to make the videos private on your actual YouTube account if you should need to. There is a video below detailing how to do this. 

Remember to save and update your work! I would also like to mention to be careful with the layout when you’re updating your site. It is important to add your texts and images in the way that we have shown you in the videos. It can be tricky to try and retrieve the original layout once it has been altered. All of this has been included in the video tutorials so these should be fairly straightforward to follow.  If you stick to the information in the videos you can’t go wrong!

We hope that these videos will be able to provide you with all the future support you need with customising your site, but if you should ever need any additional support then, in line with our nonprofit ethos, we offer an ongoing support package for about 50% of the market average, so £200/ 6 months or £340/ year. We’re happy to give you more details if you should ever be interested. Alternatively, there are many other base packages offered typically averaging around £60/ month, though can go as low as £40 (https://www.toastsupport.co.uk/wordpress-support-plans/ is the best deal we’ve seen).
